San Felipe de Neri
I have always wanted to do a series of some of the old New Mexico churches. The first one I did, La Iglesia de San Ysidro, was completed several years ago. A few months ago, I finally completed the second one, San Felipe de Neri.
San Felipe de Neri is a beautiful old church located in Old Town, Albuquerque, New Mexico. The original church was built in 1706 and was located across the street. It crumbled due to heavy rains in 1792. It was rebuilt in 1793 in it's current location and is the oldest church in Albuquerque. This is painted with acrylics on standard depth stretched canvas and the edges are painted black, so it can be displayed with or without a frame. The dimensions are 20 inches high x 16 inches wide.
Museum quality fine art prints on paper or canvas are available on Imagekind. Greeting cards are also available.
A Small Series of Paintings Inspired by San Felipe de Neri Church

Through the Portico
Last summer, I spent a morning strolling around Albuquerque's historic Old Town Plaza. I was interested in taking some photos of the San Felipe de Neri church, which is in the heart of the plaza. A small series of paintings has developed from those photos.
The first one, entitled "Through the Portico", is the view I saw walking through the portico of the convent building adjoining the church. This is an acrylic painting on canvas, which measures 16 inches high x 12 inches wide.
Museum quality fine art prints and greeting cards are available of this painting on Imagekind. Imagekind offers a nice selection of fine art paper and canvas. Custom matting and framing are also available.
